Amber Standard Series

Amber Standard Series

Sale price £2.00 Regular price £2.55

Made from the same Ultem plastic as the Amber Series, the Standard presents the most popular Winspear models, the Shiv (& Shiv Mini), the Broadsword, and the Shuriken Mini in a variety of standard thicknesses. With great wear resistance and a detailed engraving for enhanced grip, these make a solid choice for a regular pick. They provide a bright tone and full attack, resulting in an increase of clarity. When warm from playing, they become noticeably grippier.

Shiv Mini - 22x25mm

Shiv - 25x29mm

Broadsword - 25x32mm

 Shuriken Mini - 27x27mm triangle

Great picks

Was Expecting Good But Got Great

I ordered a couple picks on a whim based on a holiday sale. I'm notoriously fickle with picks - tried many, liked some, and continually use one. I would generally buy bags of moderately priced Primetone Jazz III XLs because I liked the grip but would burn through several of these on a monthly basis. The Winspear picks exceeded my expectations both for grip/feel and tone. These cost considerably more than most standard picks but (assuming they have decent longevity) they are worth the price. I'll definitely pick up some more.

Excellent

I love ultem picks and these are really great ones, obviously made with great care. The broadsword shape suits me very well.

Love Winspear Picks

I have never been super picky about guitar picks. For a long time I kind of just settled with the jazz 3 xl’s, then I got my first winspear (a purity shiv4) with my Carillion and I fell in love with both. Finding another purity shiv has been impossible, but the ultem broadsword and shivs have been great. I was a little hesitant because I prefer the brightness of the nylon jazz3xl’s to the ultem ones, but I have no complaints. Definitely recommend them if you are looking for a comfortable and precise pick!

I am pleasantly surprised by this pick, I feel like it is articulating my tremolo picking in ways that surpass my normal jazz III at the same thickness. The tip is precise and the grip is incredible. The words about the grip increasing when warm are absolutely true.

I will be buying sacks of these
